Shocking! Toy Story 2 Almost Never Happened!

Whoa!!
We had no idea one of the highest grossing animated features of all-time almost never made it out of the gate!
When Pixar was nearly finished with Toy Story 2, a nameless employee accidentally tripped some sort of self-destruct sequence on the company’s hard drive and they lost HUGE chunks of data — which, in a [...]

We thought Chernobyl Diaries looked pret-ty scary from what we saw in the trailer, but Friends of Chernobyl Centers U.S. is more horrified the Hollywood is sensationalizing the aftermath of an incident that took thousands of lives!

The organization feels that the Jesse McCartney horror flick from the producers of Paranormal Activity is disrespectful to those affected by the 1986 nuclear power plant explosion.

A rep from Friends of Chernobyl said:

"It is terrible that such a tragic event as Chernobyl is being sensationalized in a Hollywood horror film. Thousands of people have died and over 400,000 people were evacuated from their homes. Today over 5 million people still live on contaminated land. The horror is not mutants running around, the real horror is the effect that Chernobyl continues to have on the lives of millions who have been devastated physically, emotionally and economically. If you feel compelled to go see this movie, take the adrenalin you get from the horror to go do something good and make a difference in the lives of those still living with Chernobyl every day."

We can certainly understand their outrage, but doubt the producers of the movie intended to offend anybody.

What do U think? Was it too soon to make a movie based on the aftermath of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster?
