Last night David and I made our way to downtown LA to attend a theatrical performance by our friend Josh Z. and the rest of his troupe in Flash Theater LA. Flash Theater LA presents live theater in a spontaneous way and in random places. Last night’s performance took place right in the middle of downtown LA … and it was a very cool performance. Click below to check out some photos that I snapped last night.

The performance featured 4 different sets of performers all acting out the same short play in 4 parts of the same street. I had my doubts, to be honest, that “flash mob theater” would be good … but it was good. Better than good, actually. The story of a couple in love told in reverse was very clever and the acting was superb … despite the fact that my friend JZ was in it ;) We had a blast!

Tonight, I’m heading down to Anaheim, CA to see Bush in concert. I picked up a ticket a few weeks ago and, well, the time has come. I haven’t seen Bush in concert since I saw them in Oklahoma City, OK back in 1997 when they toured with Veruca Salt. It was the last concert I saw in OKC before I moved back home to Michigan after college. It’ll be good to see the guys live again … I hope. Happy Wednesday!!

Man on a Ledge is an action-packed suspense thriller centered around an apparent suicide attempt.

Starring Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks, the full synopsis reads:

An ex-cop framed turned con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The nearest New York Police officer immediately responds to a screaming women and calls dispatch. More Officers arrive with swat and tactical command along with FDNY. The NYPD then dispatches a female police psychologist personally requested to talk him down from the ledge. However, unbeknownst to the NYPD on the scene, the suicide attempt is a cover up for the biggest diamond heist ever pulled. Be ready to journey on a roller coaster ride of many twists and turns and see what happens!

The film also stars Jamie Bell, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, and Kyra Sedgwick.

Watch: HBO Releases A New Game Of Thrones Season 2 Teaser

So … yesterday was a lazy, lazy day … and it was glorious. David and I spent the entire day indoors … I don’t think we laid eyes on the actual sun at all … all we breathed was air conditioned air … neither one of us touched a shower … it was great. I spent my day writing and playing online. As some of you may know, I’ve recently become obsessed fallen in love with the off Broadway show Sleep No More currently in production in NYC. They announced a string of special Hallowe’en performances for next month and guess what — I’m going out to NYC! Yeah, I’m crazy … I’m only going for 3 days to see 2 Sleep No More performances and then I’m coming back to LA for Hallowe’en weekend. Wee!!

I’m only going because I managed to find a DIRT cheap flight to NYC so I have to go :) As for the rest of my Sunday, well, most of it was spent on the couch … with Britney Spears. I caught a showing of Crossroads and, well, that was my Sunday.

Today President Barack Obama is coming to LA so that means all of the roads will be totally effed so … today’s another day for us to stay indoors. Not too shabby for a Monday, eh?
