The Veronicas are back, gearing up for the release of their new album AND performing at our One Night In… Los Angeles party this weekend!
Two of our favorite Aussies, the girls are joining a stellar lineup that includes Gavin DeGraw, Busta Rhymes and some really cool surprises!
The Veronicas will be playing some [...]

Their incredibly successful collaboration album, Watch the Throne, is king on the Billboard Hot 200 for its second week in a row.

Not surprising, either.

The album's cumulative sales (hard and digital) now add up to 613,000. Whoa!

Way to go, guys! Rolling Stone may not have named either of the King of Hip Hop, but you two are definitely the kings of the Billboard right now.

Understanding the Vocal Range The Soprano Part

A beatmaker application is a computer program designed to do the hard work that a producer usually does, namely making beats for whichever type of music your into. Not only do you get to control everything right down to the smallest sample but they help you do everything fast, easily and as cost effectively as possible.

From Crooners to That Old Time Rock and Roll

Within the underground music scene, there is not a particular brand of metal that is so proudly associated with evil and darkness than that of Black Metal. As the name itself describes, this type of metal has been "blackened", or darker themed than predecessor styles of the metal genre. This is not to say that evil themed vocals and album covers determine if a band is black metal, but the sound itself typically requires extremely fast drumming, poor recording quality and screeching vocals. Although black metal originated in the 1980s, touted by bands such as Venom, Bathory, and others, the genre didn't fully take shape until the early 1990s, which we will discuss in more detail.

Jada Pinkett Smith Says No Comment To Reports She Is Separating From Hubby Will Smith [UPDATE]

Earlier today a report from In Touch Weekly magazine came out that made the claim that Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith are separating and some ridiculous mention was made that Jada was having some sort of affair with her Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony (who, himself, is newishly separated from wife Jennifer Lopez). Jada has issued a [...]

Late yesterday, after an entire INTERNETLESS day, I blogged about my Ikea day yesterday … which was only part of how I spent my day. As I’m sure you can all imagine, David and I are still buried under piles of boxes and stuff strewn all around the house. So … our unpacking continues.

I managed to get my home office in order so, thankfully, this room has been my refuge from the storm. The rest of the house is a disaster. But … one thing at a time. Tonight, I’m getting out of the house and heading downtown to see Taylor Swift in concert at the Staples Center. Yeah, I know … Taylor Swift? I’ve heard some great things about her show so I decided to check her out. Other than that, yeah, unpacking.

Singing Waiters How To Create a Party With a Difference

Musicians of all levels can benefit by learning how to improvise. After all, improvisation is a great ear-training tool allowing you to "hear" what notes sound good in different chord progressions and also the ones that don't. Learning to improvise will open many doors for the aspiring musician especially inside the jazz genre, as it is based around the musician's improvisation skills.
